Having adopted the evidence based approach to improve the quality of programming for young people, the behavior identified among the young people which was a focus in this years’ intervention was Teenage pregnancy.

There has been an increased risk perception of the young people towards HIV and Sexually transmitted Infections as well as pregnancy. The young people are now more aware of their changing bodies, and are able to identify risky situations and behaviors that would predispose them to unwanted pregnancies and try to avoid them.

A one on one interview with some Head teachers has revealed that there is reduction of teenage pregnancy in the different intervention schools.
